Behind the walls of the prison are many gifts and talents. Inmates have a lot of time to reflect on the many aspects of their lives. We encourage them to utilize this time wisely and offer the opportunity o begin writing a book. Incarceration does not have to reflect a negative stain on their existence. Writing a book causes in depth reflection and allows "Kin Mates" to minister to others.

We encourage the community to sponsor our upcoming authors and will be assisting them with mentoring published authors who will aid them in writing and publishing. Kin Mates will also work while in prison to fund their projects and promote a sense of responsibility. This vehicle will assist them in generating income, build self-esteem, and provide an excellent example to their children and family in demonstrating their change in behavior and mindset.
