KAIROS PRISON MINISTRY - Ministering to the Families of the Incarcerated

Do you know that the mother of an incarcerated individual, is actually, mentally incarcerated with her child? Who thinks about the mom, dad, sibling, child, best friend or cousin of the incarcerated? Who is ministering to them? The effects of incarceration can be similar to a death in a family. A whole person is removed from the household. Someone has to take care of their children. What about their job? Who is sending them money and paying for the much desired 10 minute telephone calls? The family of the incarcerated.

CHILL OUT has partnered with Kairos Prison ministry to minister to this undisclosed but very growing population. The family of the incarcerated.

Kairos Outside hosts an all-expense paid retreat to serve women that have been affected by incarceration. Many of the CHILL OUT families have attended this retreat and been blessed by the love, care concern and spiritual guidance received from this weekend.

Families get to experience that God and we have not forgotten them and are here as sisters to help them walk through this trying journey. Kairos recruits its team of volunteers in December to serve their retreat hosted in April. There are monthly trainings required to serve with the bonding team that minister to the team as well as the retreat guests. If you are interested in being a team member please click here:
